Seabrook Spring 2011 ~ A Photo GALLERY

This is the first photo of the trip.  Waiting at the corner on our way down to the beach.  This is the second trip that I have taken this shot and would love it if we could take it for many years to come.  I have a hard time just picking out only a couple of pictures (as you will soon notice).  I think these shots will tell the story.  Seabrook has been an amazing place full of beautiful memories for our family.  God continues to bless us in so many ways.  We are extremely grateful to friends that share this vacation place with us.  If you want to see past trips to Seabrook you can see the posts here and here.  Enjoy!

Mattie is 8

Mattie has wanted a garden cake for her birthday all year.  My sweet friend generously offered to make it with her for her birthday.  She was sooo happy.  Didn’t they do a beautiful job? It was delicious too.  Other activities include gourmet donuts, playing at an arcade and a day of shopping with her big sister, mom and Nana.  It was a really great day.  We will continue the celebration in a couple of days in Seabrook.

Our Cups Were Filled!

Some of my friends and I arranged a mini homeschool mom’s retreat for the weekend.  It was really fun with a lot of conversation, laughter and even a workout.  Of course there was a tea party!  How could you retreat without having a tea party?  We made adorable favors and we made the weekend a theme of being filled by the Spirit.  It was a great weekend with wonderful friends.  God was good to us and our time spent together.  Good memories indeed.

Tea and Photography

We had a lovely tea with our friends at Elizabeth and Alexander’s English Tea Room.  Afterward we headed over to Country Village for some window shopping and fun photos.

On the Farm

We were blessed by a friend from church who gathered some of us homeschool families and took us up to a farm in Mount Vernon.  She boards her horse up there and her good friend has a working farm as well as teaches horseback riding.  We hung out with the pigs, turkeys, goats and sheep with their brand new baby lambs.  The baby lamb that Jeremy is holding is just hours old. The kids are sure that farm life is for them.  They could probably talk me into it but I’m certainly not there yet.

The Dress

My girls have been wanting to see my wedding dress for the longest time.  It’s preserved in a box and a bag.  I dragged it up out of the garage to see what they would think.  They decided that Mattie would need to get married first because it would certainly need to be altered for Molly’s shortness.  They were super sweet loving it so much.  I really hope that at least one of my girls will wear it on their wedding day!
